Stamp-Connection offers self-inking stamps (like 2000 Plus or ClassiX) and pre-inked stamps (such as iStamp and Xstamper) there are differences besides just the price between these types. Knowing the differences and your needs can help you get the right stamp.

Self-inking stamps have a spring loaded pad that flips down to stamp and flips back up to re-ink between each impression. Pre-inked stamps have the ink in the stamp itself and can handle heavier duty stamping.

Types of Ink

Self-inking stamps use a water-based ink that provides crisp, clean impressions without bleeding on most types of paper, providing 1,000′s of impressions.

Pre-inked stamps use an oil-based ink that provides crisp, clean impressions without bleeding on most types of paper, providing between 30,000 and 50,000 impressions.

Impression Quality

Self-inking stamps have a high quality impression, good for repeated, fast stamping.

Pre-inked stamps have a near print quality with each impression, allowing more intricate detail to be displayed with just a light touch.

Re-inking Your Stamp

Self-inking stamp pads can be easily removed to re-ink and than reinserted to continue stamping. You can even replace the pad when it begins to show wear.

Pre-inked stamps can be easily re-inked by flipping the stamp over and adding a couple of drops to the ink reservoir. After re-inking it is ready for another 30,000 impressions.

The Correct Stamp for Your Needs

We recommend a self-inking stamp if you:

plan on using the stamp a couple times a day or for a brief periods of time;

are planning on changing colors later;

want a lower initial cost.

We recommend a pre-inked stamp if you:

need a heavy use stamp;

have a lot of detail in the impression,

want a lower cost overall.

Date stamps, also referred to as daters, are available in several sizes and can have personalized custom text added to them to fit your needs.

The stamp that meets your specific needs is a matter of how much versatility you need versus how long you wish to use the same date stamp, and we are here to help you find the perfect fit. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-866-667-1133.

Click here to find your dater by brand or by style.

Self Inking Date Stamps

Self inking date stamps have an inkpad built into the frame so that it automatically re-inks the stamp between each impression.

These date stamps are the most widely used for their ease of operation and their ability to make thousands of repetitive impressions without re-inking, saving you time and money.

You can choose between two brands for the self inking date stamp that is right for your needs.

ClassiX Date Stampers
2000 Plus Date Stamps

Pre-Inked Date Stamps

Pre-inked date stamps have special bands that retain oil based ink. The special oil based ink allows the user to stamp up to 50,000 times without needing to re-ink the machine, meaning the lowest cost per impression for your stamp.

These special date stamps provide a crisp, clear impression every time and the greatest value for high volume date stamping needs.

We offer the premier brand for pre-inked date stamps for your business.

XStamper Date Stamps

Non Self Inking Date Stamps

Traditional date stamps require an ink pad to mark the impression on paper. These daters make it easy for you to change the color of ink, use special fast-drying inks, and align the impression on home or office documents. This gives you more flexibility. Traditional date stamps can simply stamp the date or be customized with text.

Select your new non self inking date stamp below.

“With just $1.25 million in annual gross revenues, Stamp-Connection is one of the smallest companies to make the 100 Best. The company won points for offering 100% percent paid health care for families of employees and paid maternity and paternity leave.

1. Xstamper is the premier brand name in pre-inked stamps and is recognized in over 80 countries for unsurpassed quality and innovation. You expect the best from your rubber stamp, and Xstamper delivers.

2. Pre-inked stamps require no stamp pads. That’s right, no more messy accidents from stamping our fists into an ink pad rather than our rubber stamp. Plus there is no ink pad to dry out if left open.

3. Xstamper rubber stamps are available in 18 different mounts to fit the needs of every stamper who might need a small pocket stamp, an inspector stamp, a date stamp, or a large stamp plate.

4. State of the art formulated dyestuff oil based ink is the Xstamper standard in every one of their rubber stamps. This oil based ink is water resistant and dries quickly.

5. Environmentally friendly. Xstamper rubber stamps have a built in ink reservoir that is easily refillable with the same color ink they were originally shipped with, ensuring that your Xstamper lasts a lifetime and remains out of the landfill.

6. Xstamper rubber stamp die plates are laser engraved and custom made to your order specifications. Show off your custom logo, or favorite artwork along with the custom text.

7. Xstamper rubber stamps feature an ABS plastic construction and an ergonomic handle that is both stylish and comfortable

8. Xstamper stamps represent a superior value because they yield over 50,000 impressions before needing a re-inking, giving Xstamper rubber stamps a lower cost per impression than their competitors.

9. Xstamper rubber stamps come standard with a 100% lifetime guarantee.

10. One impression is all it takes. Just make an impression with an Xstamper and you will immediately notice the difference. Xstamper rubber stamps are just made better, and create much better results than other pre-inked and self-inking rubber stamps.

If you need another reason, consider this. Stamp-Connection offers Free Shipping on all Xstamper products. Now that is a perfect combination of quality and value!

Three past and present winners of the manufacturer of the year award met in Aberdeen, Washington for a trip through the past and discussion of the future.

Ron, Dave & Ken Windell of Grays Harbor Stamp Works, in its 93rd year, invited John Clark and Derek Persons of Stamp-Connection along with Tony Pezze of United Marking to tour their facilities and show them that the same craftsmanship that brought success to past generations of stamp makers is still viable in today’s high tech world.

“Meeting another company that takes pride in their work such as Grays Harbor inspires us to do better.” says John Clark of Stamp-Connection. “And the success that all of our companies have shown during these tough economic times proves that a quality product and exceptional customer service still matters above all else.”

The night started with a tour of the manufacturing process that Grays Harbor uses to turn out high quality rubber stamps and engraved products.

The equipment, some well over 50 years, is still going strong and is used on a daily basis.

“You can’t help but to feel proud working on the same benches and using the same equipment that our father and grandfather used to build the business.” says Ken Windell. “The rubber stamp industry has been good to our family.”
