We receive this question a lot and so I have edited this post to add some graphics to help show each step a little more clearly. Each stamp looks a little different however the steps are basically the same.

Remove the inkpad from the stamp here.

You can press the locking buttons on the side as you push down.
Re-inking a Self-Inking Ideal Rubber Stamp
- Push down the stamp about 1/4″ to the lock line and then slide the red button into the lock position
- Pull out the ink pad completely from the machine and flip over
- Put a few drops of refill ink onto the pad surface and allow it to soak in
- Place the ink pad back into the machine and stamp down to unlock

Replacing a Self-Inking Ideal Rubber Stamp Pad
- Push down the stamp about 1/4″ to the lock line and then slide the red button into the lock position
- Pull out the ink pad completely from the machine
- Throw out the old ink pad
- Insert the new ink pad into the machine and stamp down to unlock
