The State of New Jersey allows each Notary Public the use of either a rubber stamp or an engraved embosser seal as their official notary seal. Although not required, many Notaries elect to use seals.
The "New Jersey Notary Public Manual" requires Notaries to sign, date and stamp their notarial certificates. The stamp should include the date on which the Notary's commission expires, their name and the words "Notary Public".
